Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with Under-Secretary General of UN and Executive Secretary of ESCAP

On June 8, 2015 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Sirodjidin Aslov received Under-Secretary-General of UN and Executive Secretary of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Shamshad Akhtar.

During the meeting the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and ESCAP, such as cooperation in the framework of United Nations Special Programme for the economies of Central Asia (SPECA) have been discussed.

The sides also exchanged views regarding the preparation process of the High Level International Conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Life”, 2005-2015, which will be held on 9-11 June, 2015 in Dushanbe.
