Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Permanent Representative of the World Bank

On January 13, 2015 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov received the Permanent Representative of the World Bank in Tajikistan Patricia Veevers-Carter.

During the meeting there were discussed the issues of further cooperation between Tajikistan and World Bank, as well as related with support of socio-economic development of the country.

At the same time, sides had a productive exchange of views regarding the adopted UN Resolution entitled “International Decade for Action, "Water for Life", 2005-2015, and further efforts to achieve the sustainable development of water resources” initiated by Republic of Tajikistan. Within the framework of adopted resolution, it is planned to hold two international events: High-level dialogue during the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, March 2015 in New York and the International High-Level Conference, June 2015 in Dushanbe.

The sides identified the spheres of cooperation on discussed issues.
