The Ambassador of Tajikistan met with Tajiks of Pakistan

In Islamabad, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sherali Jononov met with a Tajik delegation headed by Sahibzoda Afzal Tajik, who originally lived in Pakistan.

Sahibzoda Afzal said that in Pakistan registered and functioning Tajiks society - "Tajik Qaumi Ittihad Party of Pakistan", which focuses mainly on protecting the rights of Tajiks, preserving the national identity of the Tajiks of Pakistan, promotion of culture, language and the written heritage of Tajiks in Pakistan.

There has been more than 24 years in Pakistan publishing of "Tajik" magazine, which reflects the range of issues and news related to the life of the Tajiks in Pakistan.

Tajiks of Pakistan appreciated the activities of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in his capacity as Chairman of the Association of Tajiks and Persian-speaking peoples of the world - "Paivand" .

Finally, they discussed issues of developing contacts with the Tajiks of Pakistan, with the aim of forming a common cultural, scientific and linguistic space.
