Consideration of opportunities on enhancing cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany

On July 22, 2019, in Berlin in the lead-up to the Tajik-German Intergovernmental Consultations, the working meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Federal Republic of Germany Sohibnazar Gayratsho with the Commissioner for Asia of the Federal Ministry on Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany Gisela Hammerschmidt was held.  

Efforts of the Government of Tajikistan in the frame of the initiative entitled “300 days of reforms on supporting entrepreneurship and enhancing investment climate”, introduction of the new trade internet portal of Tajikistan, reforming of the tax legislation, industrialization of the country with the purpose of production of export oriented products and enhancing cooperation for development between Tajikistan and Germany were the issues that have been considered during the meeting.

The Ambassador of Tajikistan noted that continuation of cooperation for development in such areas as improving medical care, protection of mother and child, as well as holding joint economic forums contributes to the realization of the National Strategy of Tajikistan for 2030. 

It is planned to hold a next Tajik and German Intergovernmental in Autumn of this year.
