The President of Iran receives Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan

On March 17, 2014 the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan presented to the President of Iran Hassan Rouhani official message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

In this letter, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, taking into account the readiness of the Tajik side to deepen and strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, invited the President of the friendly country to visit the Republic of Tajikistan for an official visit in the near future. The invitation was accepted with gratitude.

During the meeting, the sides noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as one of the most important economic and trade partners of the Republic of Tajikistan, implements the most important infrastructure projects in Tajikistan. They also stressed on the importance of cooperation in cultural, scientific and educational fields, which is natural for the two countries sharing the common language and culture.

While congratulating each other on the upcoming Nawruz holiday, the sides confirmed their readiness to develop bilateral friendly and fraternal relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries
