Meeting of the Foreign Minister with the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Council of Iran

On March 16, 2014 in the framework of the official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Ali Larijani.

During the meeting the sides noted that the relations between Tajikistan and Iran are of a prime example of friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries cooperation has reached a higher level, covering various areas. It was stressed that parliamentary relations also develop successfully. In this context, a special role is played by Friendship Group, created in the parliaments of both countries.

Expressing satisfaction with such interactions, the parties stated their readiness to implement joint projects aimed not only at benefit of the two countries, but the whole region.
