Meeting of the Tajikistan Foreign Minister with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Mr. Liu Zhenmin

On 25 September 2017 Mr. Sirodjidin Aslov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in the framework of his visit to New York for the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly met with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Mr. Liu Zhenmin.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) were discussed in the context of Sustainable Development Goals, including water-related goals.

The sides also exchanged views on the official launch of the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028" and an International Conference on the Implementation of the new Decade, to be held in Dushanbe in 2018.
