Presentation of the book "Tajiks in the Mirror of History" in French in the European Parliament

On March 19, 2014 in Brussels at the European Parliament on the occasion of the International Day of Navruz was held a presentation of the book of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon "Tajiks in the Mirror of History" (Les Tadjiks dans le miroir de l’histoire) in French. This book was first published in French on March 10, 2014.

The event was attended by members of the European Parliament and their political advisers, representatives of European academic circles, historians, orientalists and culture experts, representatives of the media.

The responsible officer of the Royal Museums of Arts and History of the Kingdom of Belgium, doctor of historical and archaeological sciences, professor at Ghent University Bruno Overlaet, as editor of the book, presented detailed information about the general content of the book, which reflects the history of Tajiks from Aryans to the Samanids. He told the representatives of the European Parliament about the features of the rich history and culture of the Tajik people and stressed that so far in Tajikistan many historical sites and attractions have been well preserved that deserve attention of numerous tourists, historians and archaeologists from Europe and America.

Participants of the event praised the work of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and stressed that it plays an important role in the preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage of Tajiks and its transmission to future generations.

At the end of the presentation everyone was presented with the book "Tajiks in the Mirror of History" in French.
