Meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction

On 18 March 2026, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Mr. Sharaf Sheralizoda met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction, Head of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Mr. Kamal Kishore.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the issues of strengthening the cooperation between Tajikistan and the UN institutions on disaster risk reduction, as well as the perspectives of joint actions in this direction.

The Permanent Representative also presented an invitation to Mr. Kamal Kishore for participation in the Fourth High-Level International Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action, "Water for Sustainable Development," 2018–2028, to be held on 25-28 May 2026 in Dushanbe.
