Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Director-General of UNESCO

On 11 June 2025, in Paris, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chair of the National Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan for UNESCO, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms. Audrey Azoulay.

During the meeting, the level and scope of Tajikistan’s multifaceted relations with UNESCO were discussed.

The parties reviewed prospects for expanding cooperation in priority areas, including science and education, the preservation of cultural heritage, natural sciences, and water-related issues.

It was highlighted that Tajikistan attaches particular importance to further strengthening constructive cooperation with UNESCO and stands ready to contribute actively to the promotion of joint initiatives at both regional and global levels.
