Tajikistan and the European Investment Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding

On April 4, 2025, on the sidelines of the Central Asia and the European Union Summit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Investment Bank. The memorandum outlines financing aimed at advancing the development of the transport sector within the broader framework of fostering sustainable transport connections between Europe and Central Asia.

The agreement was signed by Sirojiddin Muhriddin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Kyriakos Kakouris, Vice President of the European Investment Bank.
