Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan

On 24 May 2016, in the margins of the SCO Foreign Ministers Council there was held a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan  Abdulaziz Kamilov.

Ministers have exchanged their viewpoints on the present stance and perspectives of Tajik-Uzbek relations development and discussed issues of cooperation within the SCO.

It was noted that Tajikistan is interested in developing mutually beneficial cooperation with its closest neighbor – Uzbekistan.

During the meeting the ministers have also discussed issues of development of cooperation in the field of economy, transport and communication, culture and etc.
