Side events on the margins of Dushanbe Conference on countering terrorism

On October 18-19, 2022, on the sidelines of the High-Level Conference on "International and Regional Border Security and Management Cooperation to Counter Terrorism and Prevent the Movement of Terrorists" at the State Complex “Kohi Somon”, side events with the participation of national and international experts were held.

During the event, achievements in the field of effective border management and possible ways to build technical and technological capacity for border security and combating terrorism, as well as the importance of strengthening cooperation to prevent the movement of terrorists, trafficking in drugs, weapons and transnational organized crime were discussed.

The discussions, among international partners, were attended by the representatives of the authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan, including the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security and other relevant bodies, who paid special attention to the implementation of the “Strategy on Countering Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2021-2025” and on the works done by Tajikistan in this direction.
