Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Chairman of the Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group

On August 3, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Chairman of the Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group Keiji Furuya. 

During the meeting, the parties, emphasizing the positive achievements of thirty years of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Japan, highly appreciated the role of inter-parliamentary ties and the contribution of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. 

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the two countries in the socio-economic sphere, the field of personnel training, scientific and cultural ties, the improvement of transport and logistics infrastructure, the implementation of previously signed cooperation documents and the realization of joint projects, and also considered it necessary to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation for both countries.

The parties highlighted the importance of cooperation within the framework of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue as a reliable and real platform for establishing practical interaction and cooperation between Japan and Central Asia.
