Conducting a scientific seminar on the topic “The Cyrus Cylinder: The historical connection between the past and present - Tajikistan modern vision”

On April 23, 2026, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan and in cooperation with the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS), a scientific seminar was held on the topic “The Cyrus Cylinder: The historical connection between the past and present - Tajikistan modern vision” with the participation of professors and students.

Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan Farhod Salim presented information on the international initiatives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, including the adoption of the UNESCO resolution entitled "The Cyrus Manifesto: An Early Charter of Human Rights and Cultural Diversity" and the UN resolution proclaiming 2027 as the “International Year of Legal Literacy”, emphasizing the role and importance of the above-mentioned initiatives.

During the presentations, students were introduced to the role of Tajiks in the history and civilization of human, as well as the achievements of modern Tajikistan.
