Navruz Celebration in Tokyo, Japan

On March 29, 2026, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan, the ancestors' Holiday of Navruz was celebrated with the participation of compatriots and Japanese citizens with observing Tajik national customs and traditions.

At the opening ceremony, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan, Farhod Salim, congratulated the participants on the Navruz and the revival of nature, and gave a speech about the Navruz holiday and its place in Tajik national culture.

It was noted that Navruz is considered one of the greatest national holidays of Tajiks, with a history spanning thousands of years. With the initiatives and actions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon and the Government of our country, Navruz has acquired international status.

The Navruz event featured a cultural program and corner, and Tajik dishes were provided to the participants.
