The meeting between Tajikistan's Foreign Minister and Iran's Minister of Energy

On May 31, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, on an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Met and talked with the Minister of Energy of Iran, the Iranian Chairman of the Joint Committee on Trade, Economic, Technical and Cultural Cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Reza Ardakanian.

During the meeting issues related to the current state of bilateral relations, including business and economic relations, were discussed.

The two sides mentioned the joint projects of the two countries, including the "Sangtude-2", the Esteghlal Tunnel and e.t., stating that due to the capacity and power of the two countries in different areas, better cooperation and mutual benefit could be established.

The Ministers also exchanged views on the activities of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran and expressed satisfaction with the recent meeting of the Joint Committee of the 12th Summit in Tehran. Recalling the 13th meeting of the Joint Commission in the second half of this year, it was reaffirmed that the meeting would contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
