MEETING OF THE CO-CHAIRS OF THE TAJIKISTAN–IRAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION

May 26, 2026, Dushanbe – The co-chairs of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran — Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma and Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abbas Aliabadi — held a meeting.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects for the development of bilateral relations in the fields of energy, trade, industry, science and technology, and other areas of mutual interest.

It was emphasized that cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran is based on friendship, mutual respect, and shared interests.

Regarding the situation in the Middle East, it was noted that the existing problems can only be resolved through diplomatic means and negotiations. In this regard, Tajikistan once again reaffirmed its firm position in support of continued political efforts and constructive dialogue aimed at the peaceful resolution of this and other conflicts.
