The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran informs that the citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan who enter to Iran using the visa waiver system for a period of 1 month for medical treatment, tourism as well as business purposes, based on the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding on Visa Waiver between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, must leave the territory of the country of residence before the expiration of this period.

In case of exceeding the above-mentioned period, which cannot exceed  30 days, citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan may be fined and deported from the country.

Therefore, citizens traveling to Iran for a long stay of more than 30 days must obtain an entry visa for a period of 3 months from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dushanbe, depending on the purpose of their trip.
