Celebration of the International Day of Navruz in Lyon

The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan, to strengthen cooperation with compatriots abroad in the revival and celebration of ancient holidays and traditions, celebrated the holiday of Navruz on April 12-13, 2025, in the city of Lyon.

The Permanent delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan to UNESCO, as well as citizens and compatriots living in the host country, took an active part in the celebration of the ancient holiday of Navruz.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan congratulated the participants the event on the bright holiday of Navruz and noted that the Government of the country, in order to preserve national and historical values, paying tribute to the original holidays and ceremonies, annually celebrates Navruz at a high level, with festive pomp and splendor, and this ancient celebration of our people has been celebrated as an International Holiday since 2010.

During the event, the festive table was decorated with national cuisine dishes, and the celebration of Navruz took place in a festive atmosphere.
