Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the French Republic were established on March 3, 1992. From 2001 until 2013, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Brussels, also functioning as the Permanent Mission at the European Communities, was simultaneously in charge of the issues of promotion of relations between Tajikistan and France. The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Paris was opened in 2013 in order to enhance and further strengthen the mutually beneficial relations of reliable partnership between Tajikistan and France.
The Embassy offices are located on the second floor of a modern business center building (managed by Multiburo agency) in one of the most prestigious commercial quarters and central city districts (8th arrondissement) of Paris – at 42 Avenue Montaigne that is very close to Avenue des Champs-Élysées and not far from Quai d’Orsay.
The Embassy team under Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary His Excellency Jamoliddin Ubaidullo works to protect and promote the interests of Tajikistan and to deepen bilateral relations with France and Italy in various fields.
