Meeting of the permanent representatives of Central Asian countries to the UN with the Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy

Mr. Jonibek Hikmat participated at the joint meeting of the permanent representatives of the Central Asian countries to the United Nations with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Central Asia, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Ms. Natalia Gherman.

During the meeting, the issues of cooperation with the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, including safeguarding peace and sustainable development in the region, climate, water, as well as countering terrorism and extremism, in particular, the current situation in Afghanistan were discussed.

The permanent representatives of Central Asian countries to the UN expressed appreciation to Ms. Gherman due to the completion of her tenure as the Head of the Center and her significant contribution within the UNRCСA mandates.
