Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Chairman of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly

Today, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the Chairman of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, Mr. Csaba Korosi.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues related to joint actions, as well as the effective implementation of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals. They also discussed issues related to the UN reform, climate change, water and energy security in the region, especially in Afghanistan.

The hope was also expressed that the Office of the President of UN GA will facilitate the Republic of Tajikistan to hold the UN-2023 Water Conference (in March 2023, New York) aimed  at timely implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 6.
