Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with Director of the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism

On September 19, 2022, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the UN Under-Secretary-General, Head of the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism Vladimir Voronkov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed important issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNOCT, in particular, regional security, the situation in Afghanistan, as well as the preparations for the International High-Level Conference on “International and Regional Border Security and Management Cooperation to Counter Terrorism and Prevent the Movement of Terrorists” (Dushanbe, Tajikistan on 18-19 October 2022) as part of the Dushanbe Counter-Terrorism Process.
