Presentation of the Tourism Potential of Tajikistan in Moscow

On August 29, 2025, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation, in cooperation with the Department for multilateral economic cooperation and special projects of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation was held a round table on the topic: “Investment opportunities in the sphere of tourism of the Republic of Tajikistan”. The event was attended by representatives of the Committee of tourism development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the Commission on geographical and recreational tourism of the Moscow city, as well as heads of Tajik and Russian travel companies.

In the embassy building featured an exhibition of folk crafts, videos about the tourist opportunities of Tajikistan, an exhibition of books on the history of the Tajik nations and promotional tourist materials.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Russia H. E. Mr. Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda presented more details information about the initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for developing tourism sector, tourism opportunities and tourism resources in this area. The head of the diplomatic mission stressed that the tourism potential of Tajikistan is huge and unique, as the country has historically been one of the centers of civilization of the Silk Road, possesses enormous cultural and historical heritage, originality, diversity of natural landscapes, flora and fauna.

The Ambassador also particularly emphasized the warm hospitality of Tajik people, stability and safety in all territory of Tajikistan.

At the event the representatives of the Committee of tourism development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation also gave statement remarks.

On the other hand, the representatives of domestic tourism companies have made presentations on the tourism opportunities of Tajikistan, the implementation of tourist routes, the experience of providing a range of services to Russian tourism companies, and also expressed interest in organizing mutual tourist routes between two countries.

Also took place a bilateral meeting of tourism companies of both countries in the format (B2B), following the event, 4 contracts on cooperation between tourism companies of Tajikistan and Russia have been signed.

The guests had the opportunity to acquaint with the rich historical and cultural heritage and modern development of Tajikistan, and the wide opportunities of our country in the field of tourism.

It should be mentioned, that in order to promote and familiarize tourism opportunities, including health, ecological and mountaineering tourism, the Embassy, ​​together with prominent television channels such as “My Planet” and the “Magic of Taste” program, as well as the “Let’s Go, Let’s Eat” program of the NTV channel of the Russian Federation, developed advertising videos and carried out of management for promotion of tourism attractions in Tajikistan.
