Round table on the theme "The Architect of Peace in Tajikistan" at the Council of Europe

On June 26, 2015 in Brussels at the office of the Council of Europe in honor of the 18th anniversary of the National Unity Day, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Kingdom of Belgium a round table was held on the theme "The Architect of Peace in Tajikistan", dedicated to the historic role of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon for achievement of  peace and national reconciliation in the country.

The round table was attended by representatives of the Council of Europe in Brussels, ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of the guarantor countries, representatives of the European Parliament, the European Union and other international organizations.

During the event the historic role of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the achievement of peace and national reconciliation in the country was highlighted. Moreover the political, historical and scientific importance of studying the practical experience of Tajik model of settlement of internal conflict and achieving peace and stability by the international community was mentioned at the round table.

Than there was shown a documentary film on the crucial role of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the achievement of peace and national unity in the country.

The participants high commended the achievement of national unity in Tajikistan and emphasized the need to study and use this unique experience to a peaceful settlement of local conflicts.
