Meeting of Ombudsman of Tajikistan with EU Special Representative for Central Asia

On June 2, 2015 in Brussels, a meeting of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Tajikistan Zarif Alizoda was held with the Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia Peter Burian. During the meeting the sides discussed in details issues of multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union in the field of human rights.

A constructive discussion was also held on the development of democracy and civil society in the country, assistance of the European Union in strengthening and development of the Ombudsman institution in Tajikistan.

The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the European Union, Ambassador Rustamjon Soliev.
