Meeting of Ombudsman of Tajikistan in the European Parliament

On June 2, 2015 in Brussels, a meeting of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Tajikistan Zarif Alizoda was held with the Chair of the Delegation of the European Parliament for relations with the Central Asian countries Iveta Grigule.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues of freedom of speech and religion in the country, the expansion of citizens' access to legal assistance, cooperation with the European Union in the field of human rights, including in prisons, as well as the rights of women and children of immigrants.

The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the European Union Ambassador Rustamjon Soliev.
