Meeting with the Minister of Water Resources of Egypt

On June 2 2015 in Cairo Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt Husam Mughazi received Ambassador of Tajikistan to Egypt Khusrav Noziri. Issues of establishment and development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of sustainable management of water resources and irrigation, in particular the exchange of best practices between Tajikistan and Egypt in this field were discussed during that meeting.

Minister of Water Resources of Egypt praised the international water initiatives of Tajikistan and expressed his hope for the success of the Dushanbe Water Conference. Besides, he expressed the hope that his forthcoming visit to Tajikistan would contribute to the development of relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

It should be noted that Hussam Mughazi will be leading the Egyptian delegation in the High Level International Conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action "Water for Life", 2005-2015, which will be held in Dushanbe on June 9-11, 2015 in accordance with the UN General Assembly Resolution 69/215.
