Participation of the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan at the Ministerial Energy Charter Conference

On May 20-21, 2015, the Ministerial Conference of the Energy Charter was held in the Hague which was attended by representatives from more than 80 countries.

During the conference, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the European Union, Ambassador Rustamjon Soliev provided detailed information about the investment potential of the country on hydro-energy sector and called on the parties to develop mutually beneficial relations in this field.

At the same time, representative of Tajikistan informed the participants on the preparations for the International High-Level Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action "Water for Life", 2005-2015, which is scheduled in Dushanbe on 9-11 June 2015.

On the sidelines of the conference, Ambassador of Tajikistan also met with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Robin Dunnigan. The sides discussed issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
