Telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

President Rahmon congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his victory in the presidential election in the Republic of Uzbekistan and wished him new achievements in his state activity for the prosperity of friendly Uzbekistan.

During the telephone talk, the officials discussed further strengthening and deepening bilateral relations of Tajik–Uzbek strategic partnership in the spirit of the long-standing traditions of good neighborly ties between the two peoples.

Noting the steady development of multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, President Rahmon noted his appreciation of the valuable contribution of Shavkat Mirziyoyev in promoting this process.

They also reaffirmed their mutual intention to further expand interstate cooperation and to enrich relations and friendly cooperation between the two countries with a more constructive content.

The counterparts also exchanged views on specific issues on the international and regional agenda.
