Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Minister for Commerce of Pakistan

On May 4, 2015 meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizomiddin Zohidi was held with the Federal Minister of Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Khurram Dastgir Khan.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of trade and economic relations between the two countries. In this regard, was emphasized the importance of the trilateral transit agreement between Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, the text of which is currently being negotiated within the framework of expert meetings of sides to promote cooperation in the region.

The sides expressed mutual interest in harnessing the existing potential for increasing trade between the two friendly countries.
