Meeting of the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN with High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States.

On 5 August 2021, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN Jonibek Hikmat met with Courtenay Rattray, High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the main priorities of Tajikistan in LLDCs, as well as the process of implementation of the Vienna Program of Action, recovery from COVID-19 pandemic, equal access to vaccines, improvement and development of transport infrastructure, importance of the CASA-1000 project, and cooperation in implementation of the International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028» resolution.
