Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs with the delegation of the Kingdom of Norway

On April 20, 2015 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizomiddin Zohidi has met with the delegation of the Kingdom of Norway headed by Ambassador of Norway to Tajikistan (with the residence in Astana) Ole Johan Bjørnøy.

During the meeting the level of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Norway, as well as the realization of the projects financed by Norway in Tajikistan have been discussed. The parties noted a solid potential for the further development of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of hydro energy.

The parties exchanged views on the topics of mutual interest such as situation in Afghanistan, migration and the level of regional cooperation in Central Asia.

In conclusion the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan invited Ambassador of Norway to participate at the High Level International Conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action "Water for Life", 2005-2015, which is scheduled in Dushanbe on 9-11 June 2015.
