Meeting of Ambassador of Tajikistan with US Congressman

On April 15, 2015 the meeting between Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to USA Farhod Salim and Congressman Albio Sires, member of Europe and Eurasia Subcommittee (representative of the 8th Congressional District of New Jersey) was held.

During the meeting the sides discussed the cancellation of the Jackson-Vanik amendment, situation in the region and Afghanistan, as well as strengthening cooperation in the field of cross-border security.

Ambassador handed over to Congressman the Press-release of the High-level International Conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for life”, 2005-2015 to be held on June 9-11, 2015 in Dushanbe and invited him to take part in the Conference.
