On 4 May 2021, in Dushanbe, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Khusrav Noziri met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Tajikistan Emre Zeki Karagol.
During the meeting the Ambassador of Turkey was informed about the recent events and the current situation at the state border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. In this connection, it was stressed that Dushanbe has a strong political will to resolve all issues of delimitation and demarcation of the state border with Kyrgyzstan only through negotiations and based on previous mutual agreements.
Referring to the long-standing friendly relations and cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey, Mr. Karagol noted that the Turkish side supports the resumption of talks between the delegations of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and joint efforts to resolve border disputes between the two neighboring countries, and is ready to provide necessary assistance to Tajikistan and the sufferers of the armed conflict.
The sides also exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey.
