Meeting of the Ambassador with the Minister of Information and Culture of Afghanistan

On 29 April 2021, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Afghanistan Sa'di Sharifi met with the Minister of Information and Culture of Afghanistan Muhammad Tahir Zahir in Kabul.

The issues of expansion and strengthening of cultural relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries have been considered at the meeting. М. Zahir suggested that Tajikistan and Afghanistan should pay particular attention to three areas of cultural relations, including national libraries and librarianship, maqam music and folkcrafts, museums and exhibits, as well as training of specialists.

It was proposed to include the issue of organizing and holding cultural exhibitions in each other's countries in the fields of librarianship, museums and maqam musics in the agenda of the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of the two countries.
