Participation of the Deputy Foreign Minister in a meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries and Afghanistan

On June 11, 2020 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Muzaffar Huseinzoda participated in a online-meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, which was organized on the initiative of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).

During the meeting the parties exchanged views on the experience of wide and effective cooperation of the countries of the region, including within the framework of the Centre, as well as relevant and priority areas of joint actions aimed at strengthening security and sustainable development in Central Asia.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, against the backdrop of the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), presented information on the measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and taking into account the negative impact of this disease on the social and economic situation in countries, called on all parties to strengthen cooperation in all areas.
