Participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan at an Extraordinary Virtual Meeting of the OIC Executive Committee

On June 10, 2020, an Extraordinary Virtual Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the level of Foreign Ministers was held to discuss the threats of the Israeli government to annex parts of the Palestinian territory.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda represented the Republic of Tajikistan at the event. In his speech, the Deputy Minister called on Palestine and Israel to resume direct negotiations and to refrain from any actions that go against the maintaining peace and security in the region and fully cooperate to find a constructive and fair solution to the issue of Palestine based on the United Nations resolutions, long-held principles, international law and the Arab Peace Initiative.
