Telephone conversation with Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic

On May 29, 2020, a telephone conversation between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Muzaffar Huseynzoda and the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, Manlio di Stefano took place.

The parties exchanged views on the process of combating the COVID-19 pandemic in their countries, and also examined the prospects for bilateral cooperation in this area.

During the conversation, the level of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Italy in various fields, including political, economic and humanitarian, as well as future joint activities scheduled for this year at the bilateral and international levels were discussed. In this regard, the importance of organizing the planned bilateral summits and holding a business forum with the participation of representatives of leading companies and business circles of the two countries after the stabilization of the situation related with the pandemic was emphasized.

Deputy Ministers also considered issues of interaction between Tajikistan and Italy in the framework EU and other international institutions.
