Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the UN Under-Secretary-General – Head of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office

On 24 September 2019 in New York on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the UN Under-Secretary-General-Head of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office Mr. Vladimir Voronkov.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the outcome of the High-level Conference “International and Regional Cooperation on Countering Terrorism and its Financing Through Illicit Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime”, which took place in Dushanbe on 16-17 May 2019.

The parties also discussed the issues of the regional security, the strengthening of cooperation between Tajikistan and the UN counter-terrorism units, as well as the prospects of joint actions in this area.
