Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs with the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tajikistan

On  April, 10 2014 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Nizomiddin Zohidov received the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tajikistan.

During the meeting the parties discussed the ICRC activities in the country and its humanitarian assistance programmes to the victims of mines, natural disasters and other emergency situations. ICRC was commended for its assistance to the families of missing persons and other vulnerable people.

Upon completion of her duties as a Head of the ICRC Mission in Tajikistan a Letter of thanks from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Sirodjidin Aslov was handed to Ms. Severine Shappaz for her humanitarian activities in the country.

The Deputy Minister welcomed Mr. Andre Paquet as a newly appointed Head of ICRC Mission in Tajikistan and wished him every success in his future work.
