Participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the High-Level Solution Dialogues on Accelerating Early Warning Solutions

On September 22, 2025, in the margins of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the High-Level Solution Dialogues on Accelerating Early Warning and Extreme Heat Solutions.

In his statement, the Minister of Foreign Affairs underlining the climate related challenges faced by Tajikistan, noted that Early Warning Systems are one of the most effective solutions in addressing the accelerated melting of glaciers and the rising risk of floods and droughts.

Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin also addressed issues of environment, water and climate and emphasized the significance of Tajikistan's initiative to declare the International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation - 2025 in joining forces to ensure the resilience of societies and economies affected by the rapid melting of glaciers.
