Meeting of the Ambassador with the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan

On May 15, 2025, in Baku, a meeting took place between the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilhom Abdurahmon, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Co-Chair of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Trade Cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan Mr. Samir Sharifov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the implementation progress of the agreements reached at the 7th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Trade Cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. They also reviewed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, with particular focus on increasing mutual trade turnover and expanding collaboration in the fields of industry, agriculture, transport, and investment.

At the end of the meeting Samir Sharifov noted that he would take part in the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation to be held on May 29-31 this year in Dushanbe as the head of the Azerbaijani delegation.
