Meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan in Japan with the Member of the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan

On September 20, 2016 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan Dr. Hamrokhon ZARIFI held a meeting with Mr. Keiji FURUYA, the Member of the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan, the Deputy Chairman of the Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship League.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues of expansion of bilateral cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, energy, investment, as well as implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy and mining. The two sides agreed of a huge untapped existing potential between two countries to be used extensively for building up cooperation in the above areas.

Among other issues discussed, interlocutors have highlighted the importance to give a boost to the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary friendship league, as well as the need to strengthen ties between the relevant agencies of the two countries.
