Telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin

On February 24, 2025, at the initiative of the Russian side, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Russian Federation, Honorable Vladimir Putin.

The heads of the two states discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Tajikistan to Russia on December 24, 2024, in the trade and economic, energy, security, and socio-cultural sectors.

The state and prospects of interstate relations between the two countries, which are based on the principles of strategic partnership and alliance, were also discussed.

In this context, the heads of state emphasized the established mechanism for cooperation between the relevant structures of the parties to solve the tasks set, including within the framework of the Tajik-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The sides also exchanged views on pressing issues of the international agenda and issues of ensuring regional security.

The conversation took place in a traditionally friendly, warm and sincere atmosphere.
