Tajikistan and Uzbekistan state boundary
Republic of Tajikistan in the northwest borders with the Republic of Uzbekistan. Total lengths of the Tajik-Uzbek state boundary is 1332 km, from which:
- 105 km – river border;
- 1227,9 km – land border.
The issues related to delimitation of the Tajik-Uzbek state boundary found their solutions. The process of demarcation of the Tajik-Uzbek state boundary is continuing.
The cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan in border-related matters is carried out based on the following main international treaties:
- Treaties between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the state boundary dated 05.10.2002 and 09.03.2018;
- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the border-crossing points dated 12.02.2002.
