Celebration of the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan

On November 16, 2023, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held a solemn event dedicated to the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 31st anniversary of the fateful XVI session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of the leadership and staff of the Ministry.

During his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin noted that today we can express our gratitude for the fact that on November 16, 1992, H.E. Emomali Rahmon - a son of the nation, a true leader of the Tajik people and a man of destiny, a guarantor of peace and stability in our country, came to the political office.

It is worth noting that the architect of unity was able to save the country from the abyss of war and ignorance and brought the civilized people back to their roots and directed them towards the progress and hope for a better future.

It is for this reason that today we are proud that we have received a lesson on patriotism, courage and faithful service to the nation from the honorable Emomali Rahmon, who came from the people to enter politics and made a decision to save the Motherland, fighting for the stability of the state and the existence of the nation!

Our leader has directed all his constructive energy and strong will towards ensuring peace, repatriation of refugees to their homeland, and the defense of Tajikistan as a sovereign and legal state and as a house of hope for all Tajiks of the world – expressed S. Muhriddin.

It was also stated that for over 30 years, under the guidance of the Leader of the Nation, Tajikistan has established diplomatic and friendly relations with more than 180 countries of the world and has become a full member of 57 international and regional organizations. The role of our state is considered as effective and constructive, especially in influential organizations, in addressing issues of global and regional importance, such as ensuring security, stability, preserving environmental and climate health. We are proud that the majority of states have recognized the position and initiatives of the President of Tajikistan on water, climate and glaciers’ preservation issues and have become reliable partners with us on this constructive path.

The formation of Tajikistan's foreign policy has been consistent and stable since its inception and now it has reached a balanced, proven and promising stage.

Based on the state-civilizational elements of our ancient nation, our current foreign policy's focus is on maintaining good-neighborliness and sincere friendly relations with all countries of the near and far abroad.
