On October 1, 2015 in New York the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov has participated at the Islamic Cooperation Organization Council of Ministers Annual Coordination Meeting, which took place under the chairmanship of Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamed Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait and Secretary-General of the Organization Iyad Ameen Madani.
In his statement, Sirodjidin Aslov has noted that Tajikistan welcomes the decisions of the 42nd session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Kuwait, which contribute to further transformation of Organization into a more effective and coherent international body.
Foreign Minister Aslov has also welcomed the actions undertaken by the Organization towards the Central Asian countries and expressed support in implementation of the OIC Plan of Action for Cooperation with Central Asia.
In conclusion, Sirodjidin Aslov has drawn the attention of his counterparts to the necessity of implementation of transport, communication and energy projects that contribute to the development of the regional economic integration.
