Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia

On September 17, 2015 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov has met with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian.

During the meeting the following issues have been discussed: bilateral cooperation between the EU and Tajikistan, security, regional, water-energy and other international issues of mutual interest.

With regard to recent events, Mr.Burian reiterated again EU supports for the Tajikistan Government’s efforts to ensure the rule of law and order prevails in the country, as well as the readiness of the EU to remain a reliable partner and strong supporter of Tajikistan on the path towards stability, democratic reforms and prosperity.

The Head of EU Delegation to Tajikistan, Ambassador Hidajet Biscevic also attended at the meeting.
